Tripura

This is a landlocked  state in North East India, this is the third smallest state in India.
In Mahabharata ,Puranas and Edicts of Ashoka- mentioned that Tripur is the Kirat Desh, which is reffering Kirata Kingdoms,

The boundaries of the kingdom changed over the centuries. The borders reached south to the jungles of Sundarban on the Bay of Bengal; East to Burma, North to the boundary of the Kamrupa kingdom in Assam and to the west it is bordered with Bangladesh. It was also known as Hill Tippera before  the British government directly ruled it.

Migrated Bengali Hindus from Bangladesh and indigenous Tripuri peoples are the main inhabitants of this state. The chakma tribals are mainly buddhist, and Christianity is mainly followed by the tribal groups like Kuki,Garo,Halam etc.

Agartala is the capital of this state situated in the plain part of this land, the undulating landscape is dotted with hillocks and green foliage cover most of the city.all the modern amenities are available here and surely the beautiful clean roads ( a true swatch Bharat indeed!) can attract the visitors.
On the other side there are several mountain range runs from north to south like Jampui Hills, Boromura, Atharamura, Longtharai etc. Al most half of Tripura is covered by forests.Sugar cane and Bamboos are the common in the forest.

in the year 1964 with metre gauge track from Lumding of Assam to Dharmanagar and Kailasahar of Tripura  and changed
in to broad gauge in 2016 and it connected the city Agartala.

INA museum -Moirang
To describe about INA museum Moirang a little bit history shold know.

INA museum is located at Moirang-Bishnupur district 45 km away to the south of capital Imphal-Manipur.
The structure of the museum is approx 100 years old and still standing with those unforgettable memories
like the movement of world war-II, Manipur battle and of our Great Netaji along with the memory of
first Tricolour hoisting day on the Indian soil for the provisional independent government.

In the year 1939 Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose resigned from Indian National Congress and placed under house arrest by British government up to his great escape from India in 1940.He went to Germany and met Adolf Hitler to get help against British. On the other hand in 1942 Japanese force got success in south east Asia against commonwealth troop so Netaji wanted to return back to there and he boarded a German submarine arranged by Hitler in Madagascar and was transferred to another Japanese submarine and reached at Sumatra which was already occupied by Japanese at that time.

By Japanese support Netaji wanted to form the Indian National Army (INA) with those Indian soldiers who was from British-Indian force and also captured in the" battle of Singapore". Apart from that other Indian people who lived in Malay and Singapore joined with him.Netaji had charisma to creating popular Indian slogans, such as "Jai Hind" and the INA under him was a model of diversity by region, ethnicity, religion, and even gender.
They (INA) returned to India via Burma as it was already under Japanese control and made headquarter in moirang-Bishnupur district of Manipur. In 14th april, 1944 with the help of Manipuri people colonel Saukat Malik from the Indian National Army hoisted the Tricolour for the first time on the Indian soil.
In the INA museum in moirang that hoisting area is available and some related photographs are also kept there.

In the late1944 and early1945 Japanese attacked in Manipur, but British- Indian force devastatingly reversed them, results 50% of the INA soldier died along with a major nos of Japanese soldier died in this battle.Afterward  rest of the INA soldier surrendered in Singapore.
