Singda Dam
Singda Dam is a multipurpose project which is constructed at the singda river in Kangchup,located at about 19 km west of Imphal.It is the highest mud dam in the world.The dam is 490m in length and 60m in height. The main objectives of the dam is to provide drinking water to greater Imphal and a proper irrigation facility.
Beautiful landscape views are available here which can attract tourist.There some hill resort an also inspection bungalow available at Singda.

Ukhrul-Tea estate
Ukhrul district is the home of the Tangkhul tribal and a land of beautiful mountains along with many other tribals inhabitants with their simple and friendly lifestyle which have been known for generations for their honesty and integrity.Ukhrul was marked out first as a sub-division in 1919 during the British Raj.
Main Inhabitants of this area knows as Thangkhuls,who came here from the north, that is south-west China and Tibet.They lived in desert areas and due to hardship of life some they moved to south and settled down in Burma.
After that they entered in to North East India from Myanmar and finally settled down in Senapati district-Manipur.
In the beginning they did fight with the kings force of Manipur for their existence, but as the time passes they made a relationship with Meitei by business and culture.
Most of the ornaments of the Tangkhuls such as kongsang, huishon,etc.are made of sea shells,cowrie etc.

The Cultural Dance of Tangkhul
There are many tea garden available in Ukhrul.The tea production made
by hand picking and sun drying which is believed to have great medicinal
value.The unique feature of this tea is that the real flavor comes
when the leaf is boiled for the second time.Visitors love to see the workers
plucking the leaves and adding it their tea baskets which is also very green
and pleasing to the eye.
